Various forms of conveying equipment are used in the connection between processes, the transportation of raw materials, and the transportation of finished products in the feed processing process.
1 Self-flow conveying equipment
Principle: The materials transported rely on the gravity of the material to flow down and be transported.
There are artesian troughs and artesian pipes (section): the inclined plane composed of wooden boards or steel plates is simple and easy to implement;
Spiral inclined plane: middle column, spiral around the column from top to bottom; roller conveyor: an inclined plane composed of multiple rollers, used for transportation
Finished feed in boxes or bags.

2 bucket elevator
It is used to transport powdery or granular materials in the vertical direction, and the lifting height can reach 30~50m.
Structure: There are two parallel drums in the vertical direction, equipped with a conveyor belt, with evenly spaced hoppers installed on the belt, and the hoppers face one direction.
The lower end feeds (scoops) materials, and the upper end unloads (throws) materials.
According to material loading method
Forward feeding (scooping type): the inlet is low, near the center line of the lower drum; reverse feeding (sprinkling type): the inlet is high, above the center line of the lower drum.
According to the unloading method
Gravity type (gravity), centrifugal type (centrifugal force), centrifugal gravity type.
3 belt conveyor
It consists of two drums, a conveyor belt and multiple supporting tension wheels and rollers. It is used to transport powder, granular materials, block materials and finished materials. It has large transportation volume, high productivity, low power consumption, stable operation and low noise. However, the structure is complex and the cost is high. According to the width of the conveyor belt and the number of drums and rollers, it can be divided into: flat single roller, concave single roller, double-supported double roller, triple roller, etc.
4 Scraper conveyor is used to transport granular or powdery materials.
Features: Simple structure, easy loading and unloading, long conveying distance (50~60m), but the scraper and the bottom of the tank are easy to wear.
5 The spiral conveyor consists of an intermediate shaft + spiral blades + outer cylinder.
When working, the shaft rotates and the blades spirally push the feed to move, which can transport the feed horizontally, vertically, upwards and downwards in all directions.
Features: The structure is simple and compact, but the power consumption is large. Because the blades have a squeezing and crushing effect on the material, it is generally not used to transport seeds.
6Pneumatic conveying
The air flow is used to blow or pressurize materials in the pipeline, which can transport powdery and granular materials and can be transported in multiple directions.
Features: simple structure, less dust, long conveying distance (300~500m); Disadvantages: high power consumption.
According to the air pressure in the pipe, it can be divided into: suction type, compressed air type, and mixed type. Suction type: uses air suction (negative pressure) to suck and transport materials. The conveying distance is 30~50m, and the fan is located at the end of the feeding system; compressed air type: uses The blowing force (positive pressure) of the air flow blows the materials, and the conveying distance is up to 500m. The fan is located at the head end of the feeding system;
Hybrid type: uses suction and blowing force to transport materials at the same time. The fan is located in the middle of the feeding system, suctioning on one side and pressure feeding on the other. Conveying distance = suction + pressure feeding
7 feed silo
Function: store materials and discharge materials.
Shape: Symmetrical hoppers and asymmetrical hoppers are most commonly used.
There are also nose-shaped, chisel-shaped, secondary hoppers, curved hoppers, etc.
Materials: reinforced concrete structure, steel structure, wood and concrete structure, etc.
Requirements: Good discharging performance, that is, all materials can be emptied when the bin door is opened, and no “arching” or “overheading” is allowed. In order to prevent overhanging, an arch-breaking device should be installed at the bottom of a large silo to prevent arching during material conveying.
Arch breaking device: There are mechanical type, electromagnetic vibration type and high pressure air flow type.
